It is now clear that the hippies won the culture war

At the heart, the counterculture was about three things: a search for authenticity, an insistence upon individualism, and a desire for community.

 Yep, that pretty much sums up the Christian experience. Only Jesus offers us the opportunity to be truly authentic with each other, with our uniqueness expressed by how we interact with the others and society, and community that shares with and cares for each other.

 I think the Christians are the real “Hippies” of today – and we didn’t need copious amounts of drugs and sex to achieve real authenticity, individualism, and community!
