A Sneak Peek Into Your Students’ Playlists
The MTV Video Music Awards were presented on Sunday, September 12. The Nominee’s list reads like a “Who’s Who” of your students’ Spotify playlists. While the winner’s circle is indicative of the type of musical content, themes, and lifestyle that is heavily promoted, endorsed, and glorified by the mainstream music industry and their fanbase.
Right on cue, artist, Normani, delivered a raunchy dance performance to her song, “Wild Side”, channeling Janet Jackson who in 2008 infamously performed a live, on-stage lap dance for a fan.
Alongside the musical artists, Hollywood celebrities, and even professional athletes attended the event. Among them was Conor McGregor who got into an altercation with singer, Machine Gun Kelly, on the red carpet. Security quickly stepped in and luckily nobody was hurt.
