Are you ready for Madonna?
Now that we’ve got the process of determining who plays who in the upcoming Super Bowl out of the way, let’s move on to the really exciting stuff. Like halftime. And enduring Madonna.
The Super Bowl has had a rough go of it when it comes to musical guests. “Wardrobe malfunction” is now a part of our vocabulary thanks to a halftime show gone wrong. And recent years it seems the choices have included artists from all over the genre (and generations) map. Why not just book the cast of Jersey Boys and call it a day?
So when the NFL announced Madonna as this year’s halftime performer, they seemed to tick all the right boxes: her career spans enough years to appeal to a range of viewers; she’s known for her amazing stage performances; and she’s a pro … she’s not taking this performance lightly and you know she’ll bring her A-game.
But … she’s Madonna. Cone shaped undergarment wearing, Britney kissing Madonna. So what’s a youth leader to do?
What do you think? Good choice? If you watch the game, are you planning to watch the halftime show? Or is it wait and see?
