Something to cheer about
I woke up really early this morning (thanks to a restless dog). So when I sat down with my coffee to start my work day at 6 am, I wasn’t feeling particularly chipper. But this interview with Richard Russell, the owner of Adele‘s record label, has me feeling like standing up and cheering:
Speaking to The Guardian, Russell blasted over-sexualised artists for producing “boring, crass and unoriginal” music, adding: “The whole message with [Adele] is that it’s just music, it’s just really good music.”
Finally! Some common sense in the mainstream music industry. I just wish he wasn’t a lone voice in a sea of noise.
