Go After Those Lost Seniors...
By Mark Pittman

I was kind of excited to see that I was doing this even before I read Purpose Driven Youth Ministry. We worked hard to put good data into our student ministry database-more than just name/etc, we captured a lot of good info. I would spend time every other week going through our list, calling or writing students that I hadn’t seen in a while.

But here’s the cool idea: in April, I’d look at the list of seniors and see names of students that had just drifted away from our ministry. I knew that we would still have the summer to try and invest in them, so I thought why not send them a grad gift to simply say that we were still thinking/caring for them. I would take a copy of ConGRADulations, write a note just to them (no comma here) asking if we could get coffee sometime, and I would drop it in the mail. No face-to-face pressure, just a simple gift and invitation through the mail.

Even though the hats have been thrown, those seniors are still facing the uncertainty of their future and they still need the same words of encouragement. So even though you’ve had your Senior Sunday or your Baccalaureate, maybe a few iM4u CD/DVD/books could unlock some additional ministry opportunities with those lost seniors.

So, go here to get a few more ConGRADulations CD/DVD/books and we’ll be praying that you’ll get some good coffee time to reconnect with those seniors. We’ll even give them to you at an outreach discount price, no matter how many you need.
