Be sure to check out the song All Around Me Listen to it below
All Around Me
All Around Me
My hands are searching for you...
My arms are outstretched towards you
l feel you on my fingertips...
My tongue dances behind my lips for you
This fire runs in through my being...
Burning...
I'm not used to seeing you
I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive
I can feel you all around me,
thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling,
savoring this heart that's healed
My hands float up above me....
And you whisper you love me
And I begin to fade...
Into our secret place
The music makes me sway...
The angels singing say
We are alone with you...
I am alone and they are too with you
And so I cry...
The light is white...
And I see you...
I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm alive
I can feel you all around me,
thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling,
savoring this heart that's healed
Take my hand I give it to you
Now you own me, all I am..
You said you would never leave me
I believe you, I beleive...
I can feel you all around me
thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling,
savoring this heart that's healed.
(Questions answered by Jared Hartmann guitarist)
You re-released your self titled album "Flyleaf" Special Edition recently, what's different about this project than the original release?
The difference is the content. In the special edition we added some dvd footage and some acoustic versions of songs.
Why do you choose to get involved in Christian and Mainstream Music?
I consider our music to be for everyone so it's cool we are in both.
What do you wish a youth pastor would do in the two weeks before taking his or her group to one of your concerts?
I would want him/her to understand that we play in the world and that almost all the places we play are with secular bands and serve alcohol. So if he/she was going to take their youth group they would need to make sure their students were mature enough to understand. I also wish that they would be able to highlight Jesus' teaching ministry (the places and people He taught to) to their students.
When you you're back in the bus after a concert, what makes you say to each other, "THAT WAS AWESOME!"?
Hearing fans' reactions to our songs about how much the music and lyrics mean to them is definitely the thing that drives us the most.
Tell a story about a person who has been influenced by your music and ministry.
It would have to be the stories we hear about how people have been affected by our music. We have received many letters and emails about people saying they wanted to commit suicide then they heard or remembered one of our songs and that stopped them. It's hard to pick a specific story because I have heard so many that mean alot to me and I don't want to use one without permission.
Who are your spiritual influences?
My spiritual influences are my wife, my dad, friends, and my pastor.
